divh2Yard Driver/h2pYard Drivers perform all the same work as Yard Crew Members: assist customers with incoming and outgoing rental of equipment, ensure the equipment is working properly, it cleaned, sanitized, and safe to use. Yard Crew Members are the first people customers see when coming to rent from us, so Yard Crew provides customer support, keeps the yard clean, and various other tasks to keep the rentals flowing. In addition, Yard Drivers will be sent out by their manager on duty via the Dispatch department to pick up or deliver equipment to other stores, customers, and or the repair shop. Yard Drivers are required to keep their driving records clean and maintain utmost safety whilst driving company vehicles off-site./ppDuties Responsibilities:/pulliAssigned by their manager via the dispatch department pick up or deliver equipment to other stores, customers, and or the repair shop./liliGreets customers as they arrive and assess customer needs to get started receiving equipment or sending out rental equipment./liliEnsures all rental equipment is in good, useable condition before it goes out to the customer./liliOils and lubricates all tools, equipment and tilt-up braces according to specifications before they go out for delivery./liliPrepares and stages rental orders to go out for delivery./liliInspects all rental equipment for damage when it comes back from a customer; Reports any damage according to established procedure./liliCleans rental area and equipment on a regular basis./liliRemoves dirt, concrete, or other debris from rental equipment./liliWork as a team with other yard personnel./liliWrite legibly on all correspondence./liliCleaning and maintenance of work area and all areas related to A Tool Shed premises and business./liliLoad and unload equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, and backhoes./liliKnow specifications and application of rental inventory./liliInspect cargo to ensure it is properly loaded and secured./liliRecord service or repair activities./liliSecure/load equipment on vehicles./liliInstruct customers on equipment and safe operation./liliStart equipment for customers./liliOther related tasks as assigned/li/ulpQualifications:/ppEducation, Experience, Knowledge Skills/pulliA high school diploma / GED./liliRequired to have and maintain a California Drivers license./lili1+ years of warehouse, delivery, or routing experience./lili1+ year of operations management or related experience./liliStrong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize efficiently./liliAble to communicate and interact in a positive and professional manner./liliAttention to accuracy and detail./liliStrong reasoning and problem-solving skills./liliKnowledge of equipment rental operations. Experience using and loading the equipment rented and sold by the Company./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliMore than 2/3 of time spent standing, walking, driving, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching with hands and arms. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance./ppReasoning Ability:/pp1.
