Telehealth Certified Nutrition Specialist (Pacific Time) Simplex Health seeks dietitians and nutritionists (RD/RDN or CNS) to provide PRN telehealth outpatient nutrition counseling in a functional and integrative practice. The role requires a minimum of 12 hours per week of consistent availability, with the option to increase hours over time. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania and hold active certification as a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) or Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN). Candidates who are credentialed with insurance companies or willing to complete credentialing are preferred. Completion of major insurance credentialing is required before starting the position and may take 3–6 months. Responsibilities Provide telehealth medical nutrition therapy using a functional and integrative approach. Implement Simplex Health protocols, tools, and educational materials in patient care. Assess patients’ nutritional health and develop personalized, root‑cause care plans. Create and modify individualized nutrition interventions based on patient needs and goals. Document all new and follow‑up appointments in the Healthie platform with strong attention to detail. Respond to patient communications in a timely, professional, and supportive manner. Collaborate with team members through case discussions, meetings, and shared learning opportunities. Communicate openly and effectively to resolve work‑related issues and support team outcomes. Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment and ongoing clinical initiatives. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and clinical standards. Stay current with emerging research and best practices in nutrition and health. Maintain a consistent and engaged patient schedule, ensuring timely follow‑ups and continuity of care. Maintain a minimum of 12 hours of weekly availability, with opportunity to grow into a higher‑hour or full‑time schedule. Qualifications At least 2 years of experience in outpatient or clinical nutrition counseling. Active certification as a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) or Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN). Passion for integrative and functional nutrition and a collaborative, growth‑minded mindset. Credentialed with or open to being credentialed with insurance companies. Minimum of 12 hours of weekly availability. Not maintaining an active private practice or independent nutrition counseling business. Preferred Qualifications Availability for evening appointments to meet patient demand. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification. IFNA Certified (IFNCP) or active enrollment in IFNA training. Compensation Hourly rate: $54–$59 per hour (PRN). Schedule & Time Zone Work primarily in Pacific Time, covering evening hours for East Coast patients. Administrative support is available from 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST.
