Safety And Environmental Management And Human Resources Assistant

Incumbent provides technical and administrative support for safety and environmental management and human resources functions. Assist with a wide variety of regulatory compliance management, training, recordkeeping, and communication activities. Reports to Manager, Human Resources & EHS, and receives additional guidance from EHS Engineers relative to their assigned areas of responsibility. A significant portion of incumbent’s duties is performed independently with little or no direction.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of State & Federal, OSHA, and EPA regulations, and other regulatory compliance standards
• Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, web-based applications)
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Familiarity with plant layout, equipment, processes, and work methods
• Strong communication, training and facilitation skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Advanced writing skills including grammar, accuracy, and attention to detail
• High degree of creativity

Education and/or Experience

• Associates Degree in Safety and/or Environmental functional areas or other related degree required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
