Job Details:


• 8-week contract with an ASAP start date
• Three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating days and nights schedule
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (hours not guaranteed during orientation week or holidays when unit is closed)
• Float as needed to all inpatient units with possible float to other locations in the North region including Rhinelander, Tomahawk, and Woodruff
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Can be low censused and placed on call with a minimum 2-hour callback requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:10 to 1:15 on the Medical/Surgical Unit
• Treat adult patients with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Assist with ADLs, full set vitals, POC blood glucose, Foley care, bladder scan, and removal of peripheral IVs
• Empty ostomy pouches, provide 1:1 sitter care, operate all lift equipment, and perform postmortem care
• Perform occupied bed changes, care for BH/withdrawal patients, don and doff PPE, and attach telemetry leads
• Manage strict I&Os for drains, assist with ambulation using drains and walkers, assist with chest tubes, and apply and use gait belts
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient experience required
• High School Diploma required
• Required certifications: WI CNA License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
