Test Performance (Pre-Analytical and Analytical)/h2ulliPerform accurate and appropriate moderate-complexity testing according to established laboratory procedures/liliEvaluate specimens for acceptability and: ulliEnsure proper labeling and identification/liliInvestigate and document unacceptable specimens/li/ul/liliHandle and store specimens according to required conditions and protocols/liliOrganize workload efficiently to ensure timely completion of testing/liliVerify that test results correspond to the correct patient and specimen prior to release/liliFollow all established procedures prior to performing testing/li/ulh22. Test Result Reporting (Post-Analytical)/h2ulliReport results accurately and within established turnaround times/liliFollow protocols for: ulliCritical value identification and notification/liliDocumentation of communication with providers/li/ul/liliCorrect erroneous results according to established procedures, including: ulliNotification/liliDocumentation of corrective actions/li/ul/liliReport state-required reportable diseases to the Massachusetts State Laboratory Institute and document appropriately in the LIS/liliEnsure all reporting is complete, accurate, and compliant with laboratory policy/li/ulh23.
