Middle School Teacher: Art (August 2026) Upper Darby School District – Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. Permanent position beginning August 2026 at Clifton Heights Middle School. Responsibilities Participate, as a member of the instructional staff, in directing the learning of middle school students and in supporting the attainment of general and specific objectives of the school and district curricula. Plan, develop, and deliver instruction in visual and performing arts to middle school students. Use instructional materials, equipment, and technology to enhance student learning. Assess student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and staff. Maintain an organized classroom environment that meets district policies and promotes effective learning. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and community resources to support student development. Qualifications PA Instructional Certificate in Art (PK-12) or ability to obtain an emergency certificate. Knowledge of content in art curriculum and child growth and development. Excellent classroom and group management, instructional, planning, and human relations skills. Ability to use instructional materials and equipment. Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills. Effective communication and collaboration with students, staff, and parents/guardians. Bachelor of Arts in an appropriate major. Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
