Truck Driver - CDL Class AAs a Truck Driver - CDL Class A, you will operate a tractor trailer that transports cargo daily to and from local customer locations. You will prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service. You will load, secure and unload cargo, and maintain a log of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.Responsibilities:Prepares daily delivery schedule.Selects and loads materials, verifying loads for accuracy, on the truck for delivery.Delivers materials at locations designated by customer.Assists with unloading and obtains customer's signature for proof of delivery.Maintains contact with dispatcher to receive instructions about scheduled delivery or pick up.Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor trailer and maintains logs of vehicles condition and repair needs.May perform the duties of Warehouse Associate when not driving the truck and making deliveries.Performs functions necessary to keep warehouse neat and orderly.Qualifications:Licenses/Certificates/Designations – CDL Class A requiredHigh School Degree or equivalent preferred2 years of experience operating a vehicle requiring a Class A CDL licenseMust be 21 years of age or olderSatisfactory driving recordAbility to lift up to 50lbsAbility to obtain forklift certificationAble to work in a team environmentDetail orientedCustomer service skills and the ability to communicate professionallyWorking Environment:Driver – Work is generally performed in moving vehicle. Driving required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.Physical Expectations:Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 poundsWork may require excessive bending or stoopingEmployee required to sit and drive a vehicle to perform their jobEmployee required to climb laddersEmployee required to use hand toolsCompensation Details $23.42 - $29.28 Per HourThis amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.
