Operating Room RN

The Operating Room RN will provide surgical nursing care to patients in a busy, trauma-focused facility. This role involves scrub and circulating duties across multiple surgical specialties, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during operative procedures by preparing the sterile field and handling surgical instruments.
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout surgeries to ensure safety.
• Maintain sterile technique and uphold infection control standards.
• Document intraoperative data accurately within electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with surgical technologists and other team members to facilitate smooth operations.
• Adapt to float between units and support various surgical teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold or pending possession of a South Carolina or multi-state/compact RN license.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience, strongly preferred.
• Possess BLS certification and radiation badge (agency-provided).
• Demonstrate scrub experience and proficiency in multiple surgical procedures.
• Be flexible and adaptable to floating within scope and unit needs.
