About the Position

Job Title: RN L&D Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in L&D License: Active RN License required Certifications: Required certifications include Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Candidates must have experience with Meditech and CPN. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery. Description: This position involves working in a high-risk maternal unit with a current census of 240 deliveries per month. The unit consists of 10 labor, delivery, recovery rooms and 5 antepartum rooms, with 2 operating rooms available. Core staffing for day shift includes 1 charge nurse and 4 registered nurses. Core staffing for night shift includes 1 charge nurse and 4 registered nurses. Patient ratios follow AWHONN staffing standards when feasible, with a typical 2:1 ratio for Labor and Delivery. The typical procedures performed may include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, cerclages, and bilateral salpingectomies. Candidates with scrub experience or certifications such as C-EFM or RNC-OB will be prioritized. The ideal candidate will possess an upbeat and positive personality.
