About the Job: Embark on a new career journey to shape the future as a Maintenance Electrical Technician I, where you will be part of a team crafting transformers & power supplies destined for military and industrial products. The Maintenance Technician performs electrical troubleshooting and repair, routine maintenance, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, cross functional, safety-focused, and capable of working independently and as a team to keep operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues and conditions. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and inspections Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed Assist with facility upgrades, installations, and improvement projects Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized Help with plowing, shoveling, mowing, and building crates Start and stop heating and air conditioning units Work independently Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Knowledge of electricity and power distribution Mechanical skills Strong critical thinking skills Strong attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb for extended periods Ability to use hands and arms to handle, feel, reach Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions Valid NYS Driver License Preferred Qualifications EPA certification, or trade licenses Proven experience as a Electrical Maintenance Technician, Facilities Maintenance or similar role Ability to ready technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics Strong problem – solving and time – management skills Experience in Manufacturing environments Previous Experience Carpentry skills Work Schedule Full-time On-call availability and occasional overtime may be required Perks at Espey Pay rate: $28.47 - $30.61Hourly Four-day work week Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) Tuition Reimbursement Espey is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
