Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a flex pool environment, floating primarily between Medical Surgical/Telemetry and ICU units based on census and staffing needs
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with facility quality and patient safety standards, including barcode medication administration (BCMA)
• Monitor and assess patients with telemetry needs, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (ICU 1:1/2; MS/Tele 1:4/5)
• Utilize Liko lifts and standard medical surgical/telemetry equipment to ensure safe patient handling
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a short-term acute care, teaching, and Level IV trauma facility setting

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact state license (pending submissions accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Willingness and ability to float without restrictions to MS/Tele and ICU units as needed
• Availability to work every other weekend and 2 facility-recognized holidays during the assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU or PCU experience in addition to strong Medical Surgical/Telemetry background
• Prior experience with Cerner electronic health records
• Well-rounded clinical background with comfort working across multiple unit types
