Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Cath Lab Technician is responsible for supporting invasive cardiovascular procedures within the department. They assist physicians, monitor patient status, and operate specialized equipment to ensure high-quality cardiac care.

Responsibilities:

Assist the physician as a scrub technician and procedure circulator during invasive cardiac procedures.
Operate and troubleshoot imaging and monitoring equipment used in the Cath Lab.
Record procedural data accurately and maintain detailed documentation.
Prepare and maintain a sterile field, ensuring adherence to surgical techniques.
Develop expertise in invasive and non-invasive cardiac testing and procedures.
Support the department with additional duties as assigned to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Surgical Technology program.
Hold current registration or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, Cardiovascular Technologist, or Certified Surgical Technician.
Prior Cath Lab experience preferred, with a working knowledge of sterile surgical techniques.
Ability to quickly adapt to new equipment and procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Obtain RCES certification within two years if hired as an Electrophysiology lab technician.
Must hold a valid TN or compact state license.
