Position: Reservationist

Reports to: Dockmasters

Reporting Responsibilities: None

Job Summary : The Reservationist is a friendly, organized, and customer-focused guest services associate who serves as the first point of contact for our guests. This role is responsible for managing boat reservations, processing retail and fuel transactions, accounting for sales and providing concierge-style service to ensure an exceptional marina experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage mooring and inner harbor float reservations via phone, email, and in-person inquiries

· Communicate clearly with dock staff regarding arrivals, departures, and special requests

· Provide a welcoming and helpful experience for all marina visitors

· Process transactions for fuel, ice, merchandise, and other marina services

· Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently

· Handle cash, credit card payments, and maintain balanced cash drawer

· Monitor inventory levels of retail items and report restocking needs

· Provide local recommendations (restaurants, activities, services, etc.)

· Assist with general inquiries and resolve customer concerns professionally

· Inform Dockmaster of pending dockage reservations, inquiries and cancellations

· Provide “back-up” on the VHF radio as needed

· Provide “concierge” service for customers

· Manage courtesy car sign-outs

Required Educational Experience:

· Post-Secondary school helpful

Other Requirements:

· Previous retail experience preferred

Other Requirements

Computer Skills - Experience with various computer software programs including Microsoft Office, Google and other internet-based software. Experience with Dockwa is highly desirable.

Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents, reports and memos; to compose, read and reply to e-mails. Ability to speak clearly and concisely with customers, vendors and staff.

Reasoning Skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral or written form. Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in real time, including product supply, cash flow and data entry/analysis. Interest in improving policies, procedures and practices to improve efficiency of operations, accounting and reporting, as well as service to customers.

Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in various units of measures, using whole numbers, fractions, pounds, metric weights, dollars, etc.
