Duties

Help

• Monitors the execution of Agency budget.
• Identifies and analyzes trends in the receipt, obligation, or expenditure of funds to ensure plans are being met.
• Develop recommendations for budgetary adjustments to support unanticipated changes in program operations.
• Develops estimates for inclusion in all budget submissions.
• Provides advice and guidance to the workforce and management to resolve problems.
• Performs complex and comprehensive analyses to develop and prepare presentations.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• This position is required to obtain and maintain Financial Management Certification Level 2.

Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Monitoring the execution of an organization's budget with different appropriations; 2) Developing budget recommendations and viable courses of action to address shifting fiscal constraints to support the agency's operations; 3) Adjusting short and long-range budget requirements to ensure the availability of funds; 4) Analyzing the fiscal environment in all phases of Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
