NEXTAFF Healthcare is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) for high-impact night shift hospital placements across Illinois. Pay & Travel Benefits

• Hourly Pay Rate: $45.00 – $70.00 / hour (plus night shift differentials; rate based on experience, location, and facility).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, specialized nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients during Night Shift hours.
• Monitor, assess, and interpret electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) strips, maternal vital signs, and labor progression.
• Assist obstetricians and clinical teams during labor, high-risk deliveries, emergency Cesarean sections (C-sections), and neonatal resuscitation.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidural/pain management therapies safely in high-acuity labor environments.
• Maintain complete, real-time Electronic Health Record (EHR) charting in full compliance with facility standards and Illinois state nursing regulations.
• Support and educate families throughout the childbirth process, prioritizing maternal and neonatal health and safety.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois (or active NLC Compact license with IL privilege).
• Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required. Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of recent hospital Labor & Delivery (L&D) or acute maternal-child nursing experience required.
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
