Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Access Patrol in Northlake, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. You will support access activities and respond to site needs with professionalism. At Allied Universal, our agile, reliable, and innovative team puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and sharing information with supervisors and/or local contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify approved entry and exit activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or operational issues according to site procedures.
- Support traffic flow for deliveries, visitors, and associates by observing vehicle movement, directing individuals to proper check-in areas, and communicating site rules in a professional manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
