Reporting directly to the General Manager, this hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing field operations, supporting our technicians, ensuring outstanding customer service, and driving continuous improvements in efficiency and profitability. Please Note: This position serves as the primary operational contact for after-hours and weekend emergency service requests. The Operations Manager is responsible for receiving emergency calls, assessing customer needs, dispatching technicians, and coordinating field responses to ensure timely service. Availability outside of normal business hours is an essential function of this role. There is an on-call rotation with other team members. Key Responsibilities Lead daily scheduling, dispatching, and workforce planning. Manage technician assignments to maximize efficiency and customer responsiveness. Serve as the primary after-hours and weekend on-call manager for emergency service requests. (a weekend on-call rotation with other team members) Receive emergency customer calls, assess response requirements, and dispatch technicians as needed. Coordinate emergency response efforts while maintaining clear communication with customers, technicians, and management. Coordinate projects with customers, vendors, technicians, and sales personnel. Review job quotes and support the sales team to ensure accuracy, profitability, and successful project execution. Manage purchasing, inventory, vendor relationships/new vendor development, tools, equipment, and company vehicles. Verify employee payroll hours, overtime, and expense reports. Maintain accurate operational records, work orders, reports, and compliance documentation. Ensure OSHA compliance and enforce all company safety policies and procedures. Lead, coach, mentor, and develop field personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork. Conduct employee performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service. Partner with the General Manager to improve systems, processes, and overall operational performance. Occasionally assist in the field to better understand our service lines and support operations during busy periods. Qualifications Required Qualifications 5+ years of operations management, field service management, industrial services, construction, maintenance, or related leadership experience. Proven experience leading and developing teams. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with scheduling, dispatching, purchasing, inventory management, and customer service. Financial awareness with the ability to control costs and improve profitability. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management software. Mechanical inclination / aptitude, acclimated to industrial equipment Valid driver’s license and can pass a background check and pre-employment screening Preferred Qualifications Experience managing industrial service technicians or specialty contracting crews. Knowledge of industrial maintenance, leak sealing, waterproofing, coatings, restoration, or related service industries. Experience with OSHA compliance, safety programs, and operational reporting.
