This is not a teaching position. This is a motivational role focused on helping students consistently achieve high standards in an AI‑driven learning environment. At Alpha, academic learning occurs through AI‑driven applications. There are no traditional lectures or textbooks. Half of your day is spent facilitating one‑hour life‑skills workshops covering public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback. The remaining half involves working with students individually or in small groups, analyzing progress via Coachbot analytics, and driving each student toward 100% completion of their weekly app targets. You collaborate with students to maintain high expectations while building trust and rapport. A successful quarter means every student in your cohort completes their weekly app goals, passes the Test2Pass assessment for all life‑skills workshops, and 90%+ report they love working with you. Falling short on any of these metrics indicates the role isn’t being fully fulfilled. What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one‑hour life‑skills workshops for K‑8 cohorts, addressing public speaking, focus, feedback, and other enduring competencies; modify and create new sessions as needed. Conducting daily individual and small‑group motivation sessions that drive every student to 100% completion of their weekly app goals, leveraging Coachbot analytics, Alpha’s incentive structures, and personalized relationships. Delivering the Test2Pass mastery assessment for each life skill, then coaching students who do not pass until mastery is achieved. Adjusting coaching approaches across a broad age spectrum, from kindergarteners needing high energy and physical activity to eighth‑graders requiring direct conversation and accountability. Serving as the adult who maintains high expectations and whom students trust and want to confide in; warmth establishes credibility, and challenges demonstrate confidence in potential. What You Won’t Be Doing Delivering whiteboard lectures; academic content is embedded in the apps and not delivered by you. Creating curriculum from the ground up; you activate an established playbook through energy and narrative. Passively monitoring students at computers; motivation in this context is active, individualized, and persistent. Reducing a weekly target to help a student achieve it; solutions involve the student, not changing the goal. Assessing homework, conducting standardized test preparation, or handling parent communications; Campus Leads manage parent-facing responsibilities. Associate Key Responsibilities Guarantee that every student in your K‑8 cohort achieves their weekly learning targets, demonstrates mastery of each life skill, and finishes the year reporting they loved working with you. Basic Requirements Available to work on‑site at an Alpha campus in Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; Brownsville, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston (Central, South, or The Woodlands); or Park City, UT – relocation assistance is provided. Bachelor’s degree in any field. Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with K‑8 students (classroom instruction, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth program leadership). A concrete example you can articulate of motivating a K‑8 student toward a challenging goal: the objective, your actions, and the result. Comfort with AI managing instructional content while you concentrate on motivation and life‑skills coaching. Regular use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude. Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (or in Canada for the Toronto campus). Nice‑to‑have Requirements Background in youth sports coaching, debate, camp leadership, theater, or after‑school programming with direct responsibility for motivating children toward defined objectives. Personal track record of exceptional achievement (academic, athletic, or professional) that reflects a consistent pattern of high standards. Narrative ability and stage presence sufficient to engage a room of 12‑year‑olds for an hour without raising your voice. Demonstrated success converting disengaged or resistant students into engaged contributors.
