Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon, seeks energetic and teaching-focused full-time Nursing faculty. Our Nursing Program has a strong tradition of preparing nurses to be life-long learners and to practice safely, accurately and compassionately in varied settings. Your workload: Full time Nursing Instructors typically teach 20-22 hours per week in-person, with the remaining 13-15 hours as flexible to include office hours and department meetings. Teaching is fall, winter and spring terms, with summer term off. Nursing faculty are on break over the Winter holidays and between Winter and Spring term. They also receive an additional 6 paid holidays: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, and the day after Thanksgiving. Please visit our academic calendar. The successful candidate in this position will work on a 172-day contract, but be paid for 192-days, per the Faculty Association Collective Bargaining Agreement. Your Total Compensation Package: Starting salary is $77,286/per year for a 172-day contract with opportunities for step movement annually. Chemeketa currently covers up to 100% of health care premiums and includes dependent family member coverage. In addition, qualifying employees will receive contributions to the Public Employee's Retirement System (PERS) as well as the opportunity to contribute to optional 403(b) and 457(b) deferred compensation plans. This is a 100%, 172 Duty Day faculty assignment of the F9 band and grade All positions at Chemeketa are required to be available for work onsite as requested by the college.
