Mechanic — Williston, ND Poff's Power Solutions | Full-Time | Shop-Based | 12-Hour Day Shifts Poff's Power Solutions is a growing fleet maintenance and mechanical services company serving the oilfield, commercial, and fleet markets out of our Williston, North Dakota shop. We're hiring an experienced Mechanic who can handle a wide variety of work — from routine preventative maintenance to heavy equipment diagnostics, welding, and fabrication. What You'll Do Consult with customers to understand vehicle or equipment issues and communicate findings clearly Perform preventative maintenance on light and heavy-duty vehicles, fleet equipment, and oilfield machinery Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues across a diverse equipment mix Perform welding and fabrication work as needed (MIG/stick experience valued) Power-wash and prep equipment for service or return to customer Maintain accurate service records and communicate job status to shop leadership Support mobile repair calls when needed alongside shop-based work Who You Are Proven mechanical experience — heavy equipment, fleet, or oilfield background strongly preferred Comfortable diagnosing problems, not just replacing parts Welding experience is a plus; fabrication aptitude even more so Reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working 12-hour day shifts including weekends when needed Team player who doesn't need to be babysat — you show up, you do the work, you communicate The Work Environment This is Williston — you know what that means.
