Details Med/Surg unit in a 298-bed teaching hospital Units range from 20 to 34 beds with a typical patient ratio of 1:6 Day shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, scheduled on a 48-hour guaranteed time per week basis Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage required if needed No on-call requirements Must be willing to float to any Med/Surg unit Block scheduling is not available for this assignment Requirements Active MA RN license (compact licenses not accepted) required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA) required in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required Telemetry experience required Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly preferred Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred Must have a Skills Checklist for Medical Surgical experience current within 1 year One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required Must have own vehicle for this assignment Additional Information Care for a general medical-surgical patient population within a teaching hospital setting Dress code allows personal scrubs of any color 8 hours of non-billable orientation required Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted for the duration of the assignment Must work two of the following holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend Not eligible for consideration if residing within 50 miles of the facility Must provide at least two specific interview availability date/times at the time of profile submission American Traveler Job ID P-761456.
