Description Licensed Veterinary Technician Animal Medical Clinic Peachtree City, GA 30269 Schedule: 38-40 hours weekly; Saturday and Sunday rotations Shift Times: Monday - Friday 7a-6p Saturday 8a-5p Sunday 7a - 9a or 4p-6p About You You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients. Your Experience & Skills Passion for animal care and a strong work ethic Excellent communication skills Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team At least 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program required Animal Medical Clinic is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. Our hospital is a fast-paced and high-volume clinic with moderately affluent and well-educated clientele. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of veterinary care to each patient and to serve our clients, patients, and team members with professionalism, compassion, and integrity. Teamwork and exceptional customer service are all equally important. We are open Monday - Friday 7a - 6p and Saturday 8a - 5p, serving the Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Tyrone, and Newnan communities. You’re Willing And Able To Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow Assist veterinarians during appointments, surgeries, and procedures Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts Obtain vital signs and diagnostic samples Perform venipuncture IV catheter placement and care Perform dental prophylaxis Maintain proper patient care pre- and post- operatively Monitor patients for any significant changes and notify the veterinarian immediately if any are observed Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, labs, and equipment Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members You’ll Grow with Us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
