CNC Programmer

Role Description the CNC Programmer role at BK Aerospace is a full-time, on-site position based in the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) New Orleans, LA. The CNC Programmer will create, review, and optimize CNC programs for milling and machining operations, ensuring parts are produced to precise specifications and quality standards. Daily tasks include interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, selecting appropriate tools and machining strategies, and setting up or supporting setup of CNC machines. The role involves collaborating with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and maintain efficient production workflows. The CNC Programmer will also maintain documentation for programs, adhere to safety and quality procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong CNC Programming and Programming skills for creating and optimizing machining programs. Candidates should possess solid Machining and Milling skills to support effective setup, operation, and process refinement. Candidates should possess Technical Drawing skills to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications accurately. Relevant experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments is beneficial. Knowledge of CNC programming software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, or similar) and G-code is preferred. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to safety and quality are expected. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly on technical topics is important. An associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field is advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
