Overview Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Highland Springs, VA Full Time and PRN openings! Highland Springs Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team at our Highland Springs, VA location. As a key member of our team, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping residents regain independence, improve communication, and enhance their overall quality of life. Responsibilities Evaluate residents to identify speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing impairments Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders, clinical findings, and resident goals Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy services in accordance with state and federal regulations Assess and treat dysphagia, recommending appropriate diet modifications and safe swallowing strategies Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists, dietitians, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries Participate in care plan meetings, discharge planning, quality improvement initiatives, and facility education programs Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and all applicable regulatory standards Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment Stay current on best practices through continuing education and professional development Qualifications Master\'s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of employment Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply where permitted Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care preferred Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary team What We Offer Competitive hourly rate of $42 - $58 . #J-18808-Ljbffr Highlandspringspacc
