Details 26-bed Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit providing telemetry-capable care for patients aged 65 1:5 patient ratios Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) Every other weekend required 13-week contract length Floating to other qualified units or campuses required based on census needs Requirements Active SC or multistate compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications required 1 years of recent MS/Tele nursing experience required 1 years of EPIC EMR experience required Experience with IV starts, blood product administration, and central/peripheral/PICC line management Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, remote telemetry monitoring, and Heparin protocols Proficient in geriatric-focused care 2 years of specialty experience required for first-time travelers Additional Information Provide telemetry-capable nursing care to hospitalized patients aged 65 and older, focusing on preserving cognitive and physical function Work alongside specially trained Geriatric Resource Nurses and a multidisciplinary team focused on mobility, recovery, and reducing length of stay Located within a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital with 641 licensed beds Previous charge nurse experience preferred Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance requirements Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials Local candidates accepted subject to radius rule criteria First-time travelers considered with required specialty experience American Traveler Job ID P-772522.
