Job Summary HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a full‑time Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dedicated team in Sun City Center, Florida. Specialization Emergency Medicine. Qualifications Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM). Board certified in Primary Care with extensive Emergency Medicine experience. Facility Information Hospital Beds: 138 ED Volume: 22,000 patients annually ED Beds: 12 + 4 Fast Track Beds ED Coverage: 24‑hour physician coverage per day; 12‑hour APP coverage per day Admission rate 30% (mostly geriatrics) Sister Facility to the North – Brandon Regional North (Pediatrics, OB‑GYN transfers) Sister Facility to the South – Blake Hospital (Trauma, both HCA hospitals) Certified Stroke Center – Primary non‑intervention 24‑hour Radiology reads on all studies. HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is a 138‑bed acute care hospital serving Sun City Center, Ruskin, Wimauma, Riverview, Apollo Beach, Gibsonton, and the surrounding areas. The facility employs 185 physicians and 550 staff.
