Sun Chemical Corporation is a subsidiary of Sun Chemical Group Coöperatief U.A., the Netherlands, and is headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey, U.S.A.POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:Our Maintenance Mechanic performs routine, emergency and preventive maintenance work on office and plant equipment, machines and building facilities.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Performs routine, emergency, and preventive maintenanceWork on office and plant equipment, machines and building facilitiesAssist in maintaining plant securityMaintain work area, equipment and toolsDispose of waste per company policiesAssist in plant Self Safety and ASI inspectionsAssist in general plant cleaning and general appearanceComply with all OSHA required activities for PITOperate floor scrubberMust perform up to 60% of procedures within departmentComply with all company/department safety rules and proceduresREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School diploma/GED Ability to read blue prints, sketches and equipment manuals Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring and general mechanics Must be experienced in all facets of maintenance - mechanical, electrical, building, & vehicle repair. Experience with pumps (positive displacement and centrifugal) drives: gearbox, belts, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps, and dies Electrical: High voltage 460 volt 3 phase, motor controls, low voltage. Piping (water and steam) Boilers – understand steam condensate system –tracing, coils, traps, and pumps. Air compressor system- including filters regulators, dryers, and lubricators.
