Location: 2700 Dolbeer Street, Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: 09/09/2026

End Date/Duration: Ongoing with 1-2 weeks/month coverage

Shift: Inpatient Clinic and Call Shifts (Night & Weekend availability)

Hours/Week: 7-14 shifts/month, 8 hours guaranteed per shift

Employment Type: Contract/Locum

License/Certs: Active California Medical License, DEA, Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible

Experience: Previous anesthesiology experience preferred

What You'll Do:

• Provide anesthesiology services in inpatient settings, including during clinic and call shifts
• Participate in night beeper and 24-hour weekend beeper call coverage
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver safe anesthesia care
• Manage perioperative anesthesia planning and patient monitoring
• Follow established protocols and policies to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Contribute to unit coverage based on scheduled shifts of 8-12 hours (including OB and evening shifts)
• Adhere to guidelines regarding pre-authorized overtime and on-call responsibilities

What You Need:

• Medical license in California (active)
• DEA certification
• Board certification in anesthesiology or truly board eligible
• Willingness to work night and weekend shifts
• Prior anesthesiology experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

About the Assignment: This assignment is with a leading healthcare facility in Eureka, California, dedicated to delivering excellent inpatient anesthesiology services. Providers will work closely with the medical team, sharing shifts and responsibilities to ensure continuity of care. Once acclimated to night shifts, providers will gradually transition to scheduled night and weekend duties, following unit policies.
