Job Description: Customer Service Coordinator Location: Salinas, CA Pay Rate: $27.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Corrugated Packaging / Manufacturing Benefits Health, Dental, Vision Insurance and 401(k) Options Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Customer Service Coordinator to join a busy corrugated packaging/manufacturing operation in Salinas. The Customer Service Coordinator serves as a key liaison between customers, sales, production, planning, logistics, quality, and other internal teams. This position is responsible for managing customer orders and inquiries, coordinating production and delivery requirements, monitoring inventory and order activity, and helping ensure an excellent customer experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers. Process incoming orders, inquiries, and customer requests. Coordinate customer demand with production schedules and machine capacity. Monitor orders to ensure customer delivery requirements are met. Proactively track order activity and inventory levels. Identify potential delays or issues and communicate them promptly to appropriate teams and customers. Prepare reports and provide relevant data to customers and internal stakeholders. Production and Operations Support Create and validate new item specifications and customer projects. Coordinate outside purchases for services and materials needed for customer projects. Work closely with planning, production, and shipping teams to review schedules and backlogs. Help ensure orders are produced and delivered on time. Support pre-pricing activities by building customer specifications/projects and reviewing requirements with production. Assist with routine customer quality issues by gathering information, researching concerns, and supporting troubleshooting efforts. Collaboration Partner with sales, credit, collections, production, planning, shipping, quality, and plant leadership. Maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal business partners. Provide guidance and training to junior-level employees as needed. Help ensure customer needs are communicated effectively across departments. Qualifications And Critical Skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Physical And Work Environment Requirements Frequent use of a computer and keyboard, including two-handed typing. Ability to communicate verbally in a work environment that may be loud. Ability to accurately prepare, analyze, and process data and figures. Ability to monitor computer terminals and inspect information or small components/details as required. Ability to quickly interpret and process large amounts of verbal and written information. Primarily an indoor, climate-controlled work environment. Position is frequently sedentary and requires extended periods of sitting. Work environment may be noisy and requires strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.
