Responsibilities (CNA Training Track – Support Aide) Transport residents or accompany ambulatory residents as assigned to various locations in the building. Make unoccupied resident beds as assigned. Assist in the dining room with food service under licensed therapy staff direction; duties include passing trays, cutting meat, opening cartons. Distribute supplemental nourishment to residents as directed. Conduct informal activities on the nursing unit when time permits. Supply fresh water in residents’ rooms. Prepare bed and bedwear for residents at hour of sleep. Help keep general areas of the assigned nursing unit neat and orderly. Clean residents’ equipment (wheelchairs, bed, etc.). Keep residents’ rooms orderly. Notify therapy staff of any unusual incidents regarding residents. Qualifications (CNA Training Track – Support Aide) Minimum age of 16 years; high school diploma or equivalent required. Employment certificate/permit required for 16‑17‑year‑olds. No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment, or misappropriation of property through any licensing agency. Regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, or supervisors; must read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or higher level.
