Exciting Opportunity for Family Medicine Physician with Surgical Obstetrics

Our organization is thrilled to announce a full-time position for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine physician specializing in Surgical Obstetrics. This role is based in our Algona Family Medicine practice located in Algona, Iowa.

Practice Overview

• Join a dynamic team of 8 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers.
• Experience a busy practice with immediate patient volume.
• Participate in a call schedule for OB/hospitalist duties at a ratio of 1:9, and for C-sections at 1:3.
• Provide comprehensive family medicine services, including surgical obstetrics, emergency care, and hospitalist responsibilities.
• Access a variety of specialists on-site, including Cardiology, Urology, GI, ENT, Orthopedics, and more.
• Utilize facilities that include lab services, x-ray, sleep studies, MRI, CT scans, mammography, nuclear medicine, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, and emergency services.
• Work within a 25-bed critical access hospital and primary care clinic.
• Be part of a network affiliated with a Level III Trauma Center and regional referral teaching facility.
• Our center is designated as a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site.

We are a regional health system serving 14 counties, which includes multiple critical access hospitals and numerous clinics across northern Iowa and southern Minnesota, catering to a service area of approximately 260,000 residents. We also offer telemedicine and teleradiology services.

Candidate Qualifications

• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible, with certification required within three years of eligibility.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary structure starting at $260,000 per year, plus production incentives and emergency room coverage.
• A generous bonus package of $250,000 is available for the right candidate.
