Job PostingJob Title: MIG/TIG WelderLocation: Rochester, NYSummary: We are seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder for a direct hire opportunity to join a growing manufacturing team. This role focuses on welding sheet metal assemblies, both with and without fixtures, to meet quality standards and hourly production targets. The position also involves grinding, packing, and general support throughout the shop. Candidates must be comfortable with repetitive production work and have a strong understanding of welding quality standards.Shifts Available:2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday – FridayPay Rate:$18.00 – $30.00/hour, depending on experienceKey Responsibilities:Weld sheet metal parts using both MIG and TIG techniques across a variety of metalsPerform grinding, packing, and other finishing tasks as requiredMaintain high quality standards while working at production paceOperate center lap machines and hand blastersTransport parts using hand carts and maintain a clean and safe work areaEnsure all parts are properly identified with work ordersPerform minor equipment maintenance and follow all ISO 9001 quality system proceduresSupport team productivity through effective communication and adherence to safety standardsHandle hazardous materials in accordance with legal and company regulationsQualifications:Minimum 5 years of MIG and TIG welding experienceAbility to read blueprints, weld symbols, and written instructionsFamiliar with inspection tools and able to verify part qualityAbility to lift and position metal parts independentlyMust maintain productivity and quality throughout an 8-hour shiftRobotic welding and other fabrication experience (e.g., laser, punch press, brakes, etc.) is a plusNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
