Accent CPA is a growing Fort Collins firm providing tax planning, bookkeeping, and fractional CFO services to business owners and their families. All of our clients value a committed, ongoing relationship; as such, we are consistently working with them throughout the year, not just during tax season. Your Role

This position exists to support both our clients and professional staff. You’ll handle client communication, keep projects moving, run the admin side of the firm, and provide executive support to our professional staff.

The right person for this role is sharp, dependable, proactive, and genuinely good with people. As the first point of contact for a lot of our communication with clients, we will be valuing someone who our clients enjoy getting to hear from. And given the sensitive technical nature of our work, professionalism, confidentiality, and good judgement are key differentiators for this role.

Responsibilities

Client communication

• Serve as the first point of contact for client by phone and email
• Draft and send document requests, reminders, follow-ups, and general correspondence
• Help onboard new clients

Project tracking and delivery

• Track work in progress and follow up on anything that’s stalled
• Manage tax season administration: engagement letters, document collection, e-file authorizations, electronic return delivery/filing, and filing confirmations
• Keep client records and internal systems accurate and current

Administrative support

• Manage staff calendars and schedule client meetings
• Maintain to-do lists and follow up on open items
• Stay ahead of deadlines and flag issues before they become problems
• Office administration and day-to-day operations
• Support client communications, including our weekly newsletter
• Assist with social media marketing strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2–5 years of experience in an administrative, executive assistant, or client service role
• Experience at a CPA firm, law firm, or financial services firm is a big plus
• Strong written communication
• Highly organized, with consistent follow-through
• Comfortable learning new software
• Discretion with confidential financial information

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in our Fort Collins office. Hours may run longer from February through mid-April, with overtime paid.

Pay and benefits

• $50,000–$58,000 per year, depending on experience; overtime-eligible
• 2 weeks of paid vacation
• Paid sick leave
• 9 paid holidays
