Student Worker

The Job Corps Student Worker provides support to staff, programs, and daily operations while gaining hands-on experience in a professional work environment. This role is designed to help students develop workplace skills, explore career pathways, and build a foundation for future employment.

Assist staff with daily tasks, projects, and program activities.

Perform general clerical duties such as filing, copying, data entry, and answering phones.

Provide customer service support to students, staff, and visitors as needed.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Follow workplace policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Participate in training opportunities to strengthen technical and professional skills.

Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

Complete other duties as assigned to support departmental goals.

Current Job Corps student in good standing.

Willingness to learn new skills and take direction.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, email, internet navigation) preferred.

Dependable, punctual, and professional in behavior and appearance.

Gain hands-on work experience in a professional setting.

Develop transferable job skills such as communication, organization, and teamwork.
