Job Summary: A Nurse Tech 2 is a non-licensed health care provider, responsible for assisting in the direct and indirect care of patients under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse. The NT-2 learns the role of the RN by assisting and observing the RN. The NT-2 is an integral part of the Nursing care team and assists with hourly rounding, responding to patient and family requests and meeting the needs of customers to promote a positive patient experience.

Education: Required: Will consider a nursing student (RN or LPN) within 6 months of graduating from an accredited nursing program. Preferred: Experience: Required: NA Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Tech work experience Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status.
