Our team is characterized by outstanding collaboration between nursing and therapy staff, ensuring comprehensive and cohesive patient care. How You'll Contribute Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of patients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs; orient staff and students and assume supervisory duties in the absence of the supervisor. Assess patients’ needs; identify and initiate appropriate physical therapy interventions; work cooperatively with other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional practice and interdisciplinary teamwork. Observe and evaluate treatment progress and the accomplishment of short‑ and long‑term goals; recommend changes to the physician, if needed. Perform accurate assessments and reassessments, as per policy, and complete timely QI scoring; treat adult and geriatric patients requiring an adult medical rehabilitation program. Assess patient pain that interferes with optimal function and participation in rehabilitation; provide interventions to reduce pain and make appropriate physician contact. Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where the hospital is located. Inpatient rehab experience preferred. Current BLS/CPR Card.
