Step into a role where your manufacturing insight drives better throughput, higher quality, and smoother launches. As our CNC Manufacturing Process Engineer, you’ll blend mechanical and industrial engineering know‑how to streamline production, implement automation, and elevate product excellence across a busy precision machining environment.

A day in the life

You start by reviewing new RFQs and customer drawings, translating specs into manufacturable plans and early cost estimates. Next, you’re in CAD/CAM creating part programs for CNC lathes and mills, building internal drawings, and setting time standards to keep work centers synchronized. Midday, you’re on the floor—helping set up a new job, debugging a tricky cycle, and optimizing tooling paths. In the afternoon, you lead a spec review and sign‑off, finalize travelers, setup sheets, and process logs, and capture actuals versus estimates with our Accounting partners. You close the day by documenting R&D activity and preparing training for a new program rollout.

What you’ll tackle

• Create CNC part programs with a CAD/CAM system for lathes and mills; produce internal CAD drawings as needed.
• Establish time standards for part processing and develop manufacturing methods to maximize facility utilization.
• Code, test, debug, design, document, and install new programs/technologies and changes to existing programs/technologies of a complex nature.
• Analyze end‑user data needs and develop user‑oriented solutions that interface with existing applications.
• Coordinate specification reviews, sign‑off processes, procedures, and training to support new programs/systems.
• Assist operations with setup, testing, and support of new programs and machining procedures; troubleshoot complex operational issues.
• Prepare cost analyses by capturing actual incurred versus estimated material, labor, and outside processing costs; track with Accounting for selected customers.
• Develop cost estimates from customer RFQs, drawings, and specifications.
• Create and track machining documentation, including travelers, setup sheets, and process logs.
• Help set up, debug, and optimize new jobs on machines.
• Track all R&D (Research and Development) activity and back up the Sr. Manufacturing Engineer during Product Realization Reviews.
• Assist Sales with the development of new customers and attend meetings as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

What you bring

• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on machining experience.
• Demonstrated technical and computer proficiency, strong oral communication, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Proven problem‑solving ability, organizational effectiveness, and project management skills.
