Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for winter 13- or 18-week contracts in IMC/PCU/Stepdown units. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to float across multiple hospital campuses.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Provide comprehensive patient care in a high-acuity stepdown environment, ensuring safety and clinical accuracy.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and document patient information accurately.
  
  
• 
  Manage stable chronic ventilators and respond appropriately to changes in patient status.
  
  
• 
  Complete required orientation modules and pass competency assessments within designated timeframes.
  
  
• 
  Float between assigned hospital campuses and units, maintaining quality care regardless of location.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to strict patient ratios, aiming for 1:4 but handling up to 1:5-6 as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess a valid state RN license or compact license, with no prior disciplinary actions.
  
  
• 
  Have a minimum of 1.5 years experience in acute care, with preferred experience in critical care or level 1 or 2 units.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate experience with EPIC EHR, stable ventilators, and tele-EKG competencies.
  
  
• 
  Hold BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification.
  
  
• 
  Be willing to work every other weekend and holiday shifts, including night shifts (4x12 hours).
  
  
• 
  Be comfortable floating within hospital and across multiple campuses.
