Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled 1st Class Shipfitter with a minimum of 3 year of shipfitting experience . The ideal candidate will perform layout, structural fitting, metric measuring, and cutting with a torch on ships. Candidates must demonstrate their skills through a hands-on craft test . The role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team while following shipyard safety standards.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of shipfitting experience
• Ability to pass a hands-on craft test in accordance with craft classification
• Proficiency in structural fitting processes
• Experience cutting steel with a torch
• Strong understanding of shipfitting techniques and best practices
• Ability to accurately perform layout, metric measurements, and cutting
• Knowledge of safety standards and shipyard procedures
• Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident

Key Responsibilities

• Perform layout and structural fitting processes accurately
• Cut materials using a torch
• Measure materials using metric measurements (cm, mm, etc.)
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
