The Role
Fire watch officers protect people and property when a building’s fire alarm or sprinkler system is offline, under repair, or during hot work. You’ll be the eyes and ears on site, catching hazards early and making sure help arrives fast if something goes wrong.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct regular foot patrols of assigned areas on a set schedule
• Watch for fire, smoke, and fire hazards, and confirm exits and pathways stay clear
• Check fire extinguishers and safety equipment on each round
• Record every patrol and any incidents in our mobile reporting app
• Call 911 and notify the fire department and site contacts right away in an emergency
• Assist with evacuation if needed
• Communicate professionally with site staff, contractors, and the public

What You’ll Need

• Active Texas DPS Level II Non-Commissioned Security Officer license (or ability to obtain before your first shift)
• 18 years or older; able to pass a background check
• Reliable transportation and a smartphone
• Able to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods, indoors and outdoors
• Strong attention to detail and dependable attendance
• Clear communication skills

Nice to Have

• Fire watch, construction site, or hot work experience
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Fire extinguisher training
• Availability for overnights, weekends, and short-notice shifts
