The Role

As a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer on the Cloud-Delivered Security Services (CDSS) team, you will serve as a primary technical authority and champion for our next-generation threat detection and prevention services. Positioned at the core of our Precision AI-powered security portfolio, you will partner with Product Management and Engineering to architect and execute a comprehensive technical go-to-market and enablement strategy.

In this capacity, you will develop industry-leading best practices, solution architectures, and compelling technical demonstrations. Your responsibilities include authoring authoritative technical content, architecting advanced labs, leading early-access and beta programs, and delivering deep-dive technical workshops for diverse audiences—ranging from internal teams to external customers. As the global subject matter expert for your domain, you will identify critical technology gaps to directly influence product direction and drive next-generation innovation across the entire Palo Alto Networks platform. This is a high-visibility, customer-facing role that requires leveraging AI tools at every stage—from research and collateral development to global demo strategies and enablement at scale.

Your Impact

• Technical Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technical marketing plan, serving as a thought leader who influences both internal product direction and external industry perception.

• Authority Content: Author high-quality, customer-facing technical publications—including white papers, solution guides, and "tech notes"—to ensure our products are fully utilized and understood.

• Global Evangelism: Deliver high-impact presentations on product launches, best practices, and executive briefings in both virtual (webinar) and live (conference/seminar) formats.

• Product Influence: Collaborate closely with Product Managers to provide field-derived feedback; review PRDs, engineering specifications, and test plans to ensure they meet customer needs.

• Lab & Demo Architecture: Build and manage sophisticated lab environments and demo systems designed to replicate complex, real-world simulations and multi-stage attack scenarios.

• Beta Program: Drive the success of customer trials by leading product betas, assisting customers with configuration, and capturing critical feedback for engineering teams.

• Technical Enablement: Serve as the subject matter expert for channel partners and systems engineers, providing hands-on training and technical support to scale product adoption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in the network security industry in a technical, customer-facing capacity (e.g., TME, Technical Product Management, or Domain Consultant).

• 3+ years of experience in a senior technical role within the cybersecurity domain.

• Core Technical Expertise: Proven mastery of network and web security technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS/SSL, VPNs, Firewalls, and IDP/IPS.

• Threat Intelligence: Deep knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, including zero-day vulnerabilities and the ability to analyze and map contemporary attack vectors.

• Security Domains: Hands-on experience with Threat Prevention, IP Layer security, Malware Protection, and Web/DNS Security.

• Cloud Architecture: Working knowledge of cloud architectures (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and major providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• AI-Driven Automation: Proven experience building AI-assisted demos and custom tooling. Knowledge of agentic frameworks to automate TME workflows and solution validation is highly preferred.

• Tooling & Scripting: Proficiency with Python and experience with network test equipment (e.g., Ixia, BreakingPoint, or Spirent).

• Education: BS/BA in a computer-related field or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below.
