Basic Job Functions: As a Warehouse Packer key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensure compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and company guidelines regarding the dispatching and scheduling of transportation needs. Communicate with managers, supervisors, group leaders, and other departments relating to product deliveries and schedules. Coordinate with managers, supervisors, group leaders, and other departments relating to performance for all daily duties. Manage customer delivery requirements to ensure ABCIL products are delivered on time. Facilitate and monitor the use of the Electronic Logging Device and other DOT requirements. Provide additional support throughout the shipping and receiving department. Performs other clerical duties as required in the event of fellow teammate absences. Work under general supervision of Shipping Supervisor, following established procedures. Communicate with supervisors, group leaders, shipping teammates, and other ABCIL teammates as required in performing their daily duties. Fill in where necessary. Assist with coverage in similar administration like positions throughout the office. Performs other related duties as required and directed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Requirements: Must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment with minimum supervision Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; Experience dealing with carriers and customers Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook High School Diploma or equivalent Detailed Selection Criteria: Communication – Effectively expresses ideas or tasks to an individual or group. Attention to Detail – Thorough in accomplishing tasks, no matter how small they may be, and taking care to make sure that expectations are met. Ability to analyze and think strategically. Dependability – Being reliable, responsible, and committed to fulfilling obligations. Judgement/Decision Making – Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Administration and Management – Knowledge of business and management principles involved in production control, and coordination of people and resources. Clerical – Knowledge of clerical procedures and systems such as work processing, managing files, data and records, designing forms, etc. Computers and Electronics – Knowledge of computers, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Safety – Demonstrate a commitment to safety in all job aspects.
