Material Handler/Cycle Counter

ETC has an opening for a Material Handler/Cycle Counter at our Middleton, WI facility. This first-shift position will involve monitoring inventory and conducting cycle counting within our manufacturing areas.

Our ideal candidate will have prior inventory/cycle counting experience along with a strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Representative Responsibilities:

Monitors component inventory and performs cycle counting duties to ensure that materials are properly verified & reflective of reported inventory

Assist Planning, Production, Engineering and Customer Service in locating materials

Cycle counting materials in manufacturing departments daily by using SAP reports to determine priority

Counting and organizing overstock

Counting other inventories when assigned (VMI inventory, low usage inventory, bulk/expensed inventory)

Moving materials in and out of Manufacturing departments based off usage.

Setting up new material in departments.

Cycle count materials based on the "ABC" grouping system which will be monitored by the Inventory Control Manager and/or Purchasing Manager.

Create and process cycle count sheets in SAP

Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.

Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.

Responsible for answering CS, Planning, Production and Engineering inquiries in a timely manner.

Assist all Stockroom, Shipping, and/or other Manufacturing departments in locating materials.

Assist in updating Material Master for materials in SAP.

Monitors location accuracy

Adheres to safety standards at all times

Abides by safety procedures, work practice controls, and OSHA guidelines

Wears personal protective equipment when required

Maintains a clean and organized work environment

Backs up Inventory Control Specialists as needed

Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or its equivalent (GED)

2 years previous work experience in an inventory related job dealing with cycle counts, work orders and stockroom receiving

Knowledge of basic receiving procedures and practices

Computer skills

Good oral communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Demonstrated organizational skills

Able to operate a pallet jack

Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Able to work independently and as part of a team
