Medical Social Worker

Job Description MSA Hospice, a proud member of the Medical Services of America family, is currently seeking an experienced Full-Time Hospice Social Worker / MSW for our Hospice location in Wise/Norton (Wise) VA, Clintwood/Haysi (Dickenson) VA. Responsibilities Provide social work services in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment. Work with the interdisciplinary team directly, or through coordination of team members, to provide appropriate assessment and support to patients and families. Provide assessment for normal and complicated grief and provide bereavement counseling as appropriate. Serve as a liaison with other community resources. Requirements Master’s or Bachelor’s level social work degree from a school of social work accredited or approved by the Council of Social Work Education. Currently licensed to practice as a social worker in the state of SC. Minimum of one-year hospice experience preferred. Valid driver’s license. Benefits Generous paid time off.
