Software Engineer 1

Software Engineer 1 – Annapolis Junction, MD – Full Time Root Source is seeking a Software Engineer 1 who will develop and sustain integrated, feature-rich capabilities that promote modernization of visualization and presentation tools. The software development team will provide application development and support to tools that allow mission analytic users to view existing data or contribute new information in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Develop and sustain integrated capabilities for visualization and presentation tools. Provide application development and support for mission analytic users. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Seven years of SWE experience in similar programs and contracts. Active TS/SCI with Poly. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Java, Python, testing, source code control, IDE, Maven, Spring Boot, Django. Familiarity with analytical development, virtualization environments, streaming frameworks, and databases. Experience using ElasticSearch. Ability to analyze user requirements, debug software, design and code new features, integrate software, write documentation, and more.
