Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) Nurse position is based in Montrose, Colorado. This role involves utilizing specialized knowledge and skills for direct patient care within a busy surgical environment. Candidates are required to bring their license in the State of Colorado on the first day. The position offers a schedule during daytime hours with the potential for overtime opportunities depending on case schedules.

Job Details:

• Location: Montrose, Colorado
• Schedule: Days; Up to 80 hours per pay period; 72 hours guaranteed; No holiday coverage; May have overtime opportunities if cases run late schedule dependent; 06:30-17:00 variable times
• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Degree in Nursing; Must be licensed in the State of Colorado; BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) recommended; Certification in OR nursing is recommended; Active membership in professional organization (AORN) is highly recommended; Experience is preferred but orientation is based on previous knowledge and experience; Additional education or training in related fields considered on an individual basis.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in perioperative nursing, active membership in professional organizations such as AORN, and certification in OR nursing.
• Additional Information: The role involves coordinating activities within the surgical environment, ensuring patient safety, completing accurate documentation, and maintaining sterile technique. The nurse may be required to circulate and scrub as necessary, supporting the overall surgical team.
