Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with 2+ years of experience and pediatric background for a Level III trauma center position.

Details

• Short term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds
• Part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Evening (4x10) and/or night (4x10) shifts based on department need
• At least every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Floating to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital as needed
• Charting performed in Epic
• Free parking available

Requirements

• Rhode Island license required and active to start; Connecticut license must be applied for/in process prior to submission
• License required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• CRT certification required, RRT preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required (1.5 years considered for Level I trauma or travel experience)
• Pediatric experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Experience in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings
• Skilled in arterial blood gas drawing, airway management, suctioning, intubation assist, and tracheostomy care/management
• Epic experience preferred
• 1 professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy care across adult critical care and emergency department settings
• Perform airway management, suctioning, and tracheostomy care as part of daily responsibilities
• First-time travelers may be considered given prior travel experience is preferred but not exclusively required
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the hospital site
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious/medical exemptions only
