Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Acute care facility experience: Preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS: Required
• At least two years of recent experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care.
• Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
• Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion.
• Collects and analyzes data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Develops and implements care plans with prescribed interventions.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
