People Operations Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Generalist to provide full-time, on-site HR support for a high-volume distribution center operation in the Lancaster, Texas area. This role acts as a visible, responsive resource for frontline team members, supervisors, and site leadership within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate excels at balancing day-to-day tactical HR operations-ranging from employee relations and recruiting coordination to onboarding, compliance, and administration-with strong organizational skills and sound professional judgment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, day-to-day HR support for warehouse and distribution operations, assisting employees, contingent labor, and site leadership with prompt guidance and problem-solving.
• Partner with management on employee relations matters, including intake, documentation, fact-finding support, corrective action preparation, and follow-through.
• Collaborate with supervisors to reinforce consistent expectations regarding attendance, conduct, performance standards, safety protocols, and workplace respect.
• Facilitate local recruiting and talent acquisition workflows, including candidate sourcing support, interview coordination, agency communication, tracking, and onboarding preparation.
• Lead new hire orientation and onboarding for both direct-hire and temporary personnel, ensuring compliance, paperwork completion, and system readiness.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, audit files, and trackers concerning staffing, training, and operational HR metrics.
• Assist with compliance initiatives, policy acknowledgments, regulatory audits, unemployment claims, and routine HR administrative duties.
• Support site-level initiatives focused on employee engagement, workforce planning, retention, culture, and supervisor coaching.
• Maintain a professional, executive-ready presence to support a high-profile operational site.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional Human Resources experience required.
• Demonstrated background supporting employee relations, investigations, compliance, onboarding, or general HR operations.
• Prior experience working within hourly, frontline, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environments strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
• Strong working knowledge of HR systems, applicant tracking tools, timekeeping platforms, or learning management software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), with advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time-management capabilities, with a high commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional discretion.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
