Experienced Automotive Service Technician

Newton ChevroletGMC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing client vehicles. Areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, engine, transmission, drive-ability, cooling system, brake system, electronics, steering, suspension, HVAC. Employee service discounts Responsibilities Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications Keep a great attitude Keep your area and the customer cars clean Requirements High School diploma ASE certification preferred GM training/repair experience preferred Strong teamwork skills Valid automobile insurance Must have a valid driver’s license Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance Ability to identify problems efficiently and accurately Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications We are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
